Style Update: Homeware and Decoration

Lately I have been kind of obsessed with decorating and home ware.  I really like the thought of your flat, house or room reflecting your personality. Sometimes I just peek into some home ware shops to see whether there's anything pretty I could buy and usually I find something.

Daytrip to Austria

So, I went to Austria the other day and I just wanted to share some impressions. I was really amazed by how beautiful the nature is there. If you're somebody who enjoys  taking pictures of nature scenes, I totally recommend the alpine area. Stunning scenery. Here are the pics:

Isn't this just WOW!?!
I think that the colour of the water looks a lot like bathing water. I wondered whether I could actually have a little swim, but the water is way to cold for that.

This is water that should taste of flowers. I liked the idea of flower water and I thought the packaging looked really cute, so I bought it. I took the violet and orange blossom one, because I like violets and roses with edible stuff, but they had a jasmine and something one too.

Huge Primark Homeware and Fashion Haul

I haven't been to Primark in a long time (which is actually due to not having a shop in or around Munich ), so I decided to go to the next Primark (which is in Austria ) with a friend. So here's an overview of what I've bought at Primark yesterday.

As you can already see I had to carry 2 bags around. So yeah HUGE PRIMARK HAUL.

I bought this Hoodie, just because it's the softest warmest comfiest thing ever. But
seriously, it's very fluffy and soft on the inside and usually I try to find comfy fashionable things when I go to Primark. Et voila. It's exactly that.

So here's another Jumper. Although this one has a V-neck, I really like it. I like the material, as it is very soft and stretchy. I'm actually not 100% sure whether this is a regular long-sleeved shirt or a jumper. Anyway, I really like that it's nice and baggy.

These shorts are going to be used for fitness or something like that.

I bought a seamless bandeau top/bra (not sure whether it's the one or the other ), as I have some really baggy tops, which let people see my bra (...). They had one in black and a couple of lace ones as well, but I wanted to keep it basic.

These just had to go into my shopping bag, as they're just so cute and I just couldn't resist.
Egg shaped makeup sponge. I was just wondering if this actually worked ( A friend of mine suggested to try this out ). Totally fancy the packaging. Polka dots are kind of my thing.
I thought this 5 piece ring set would look stunning on tanned skin like mine. As I'm naturally tanned all year round, this might be worth wearing in combination with some wintery clothes ( Yes, I'm already thinking about winter...). I really like the second one from the top because it reminds me of branches. I am always looking out for pretty rings at Primark as they're cheap and usually last longer than other rings .
Now on to the home ware items. This throw is cream coloured and really soft ( You might have noticed that I really like fluffy and soft things ). They had this in cream, grey and red.

Aaah. This scent... So intense. Even if you're like quite a bit away. I walked by the home ware section and everything was sweet, flowery scented. The vanilla coconut one is a lot like coconut milk. You'll definitely like the vanilla violet one, if you like Parma Violets. The only thing that I can't actually smell is the vanilla, but even without these candles smell amazing.
The last thing I bought were these hangers. They were one of the main reasons I decided to go to Primark. 1. They're fluffy 2. They're non-slip 3. They're super slim, which means that you can fit a whole lot more of clothes into your wardrobe. As far as I'm concerned they had light blue & dark blue ones and beige & brown ones in a set of ten. I really wanted to have the black ones, but I didn't see them anywhere, so I first of all paid for the blue ones and when I was finished paying I saw the black ones in one of the boxes.... I asked the lady whether I could just exchange them like that  ( I was in a hurry )  but I had to go to the customer service. So, yeah... But now I've at least got what I wanted. :D

Advice on finding your own style

It might be hard to stick to your own style sometimes, especially if you don't even know what your style is.
First of all some tips:
  1. You should get inspired but not imitate: This means that you can like e.g. a persons' style, but you shouldn't buy everything that person owns. You can buy similar things or a couple of things that person has, but don't walk thousands of miles just to get that T-shirt.
  2. Get to know your own personal style: The easiest way is to keep track by either having a style diary or some sort of photo album on your phone. Personally, I use the app We Heart It, which is basically an application you can download on to your phone, (they even have a website ) and "heart" pictures you like. Either way, you can keep track of what you like and love.
  3. Go shopping: ...and try out new things. This is probably the main part of finding your own style. You can decide if you prefer real-life shopping or internet shopping. It would definitely be internet shopping for me, because I can't deal with the masses of human beings in the shops when I try to find something, especially when it comes to end of season sales... Anyway, you should try things you normally wouldn't try because you might find something that suits you very well.
  4. Go shopping alone: Very simple. You go shopping alone. No one gets bored or tired of being in a shop they don't want to be. No one forces you to go into a shop. No one tells you something suits you, you buy it and then realize it doesn't look good on you, resulting in never wearing it. And best of all: You've got plenty of time.
  5. Look into your wardrobe: You might find something you hated 2 years ago, but love it now. Style changes over time. On the other hand you might find something you despised then and still do so now. Then just give it away for charity, sell it to someone else or ask your friends and family if they'd like to have it. That way you have more space for the things you really want to wear.
Some of this things might seem hard to do, but honestly, if you try and do them you will get a giant step closer to finding your own style.
Sometimes all you need might really be just a little bit of inspiration.

Things I do when I'm out with my friends

Quite recently I went out with my friends. Not only shopping but also doing other somewhat girly
things.
We actually wanted to pick some strawberries at a local strawberry field. Unfortunately the lady selling the last fresh strawberries told us that strawberry picking season was over. So we decided to cycle to the other end of the city just to see another empty strawberry field. I wanted to have fresh nice strawberries really badly so we decided to cycle back to the other end of the city, where the first strawberry field was, and get some strawberry seeds ( just FYI: I really like strawbs ).
Anyways, we called our other friend, but couldn't reach her, so we just went to her place and picked her up to go to the train station. We went to Dunkin' Donuts for the first time and I had this awesome Donut:
We took the train back to the city centre and because one of my friends didn't have anything to eat that day and I was really scared she would faint, all 3 of us had a cream cheese Pretzel, which was just so delicious.
We headed to a really nice café which was very girly ( picture says everything) and had some cake.

Just look at it. The plate. The rabbit. The mason jar with sugar in it. The cake .
This little treat had a little apple hidden inside of it. Incredibly delicious. It's just the perfect atmosphere to eat a grandma style cake.
The café had little cream lace and pastel-coloured cushions. Literally everything about that shop was vintage-like and cute.
Ok, of course. We had a little shopping spree and I bought some awesome nail polish, but when you're out with your friends, you should definitely check out little cute café's and other amazing places you haven't been to.
